GER; GOR; gastro(o)esophagal reflux

GOR is the involuntary movement of stomach content back into the oesophagus. The process is physiologic and normal in infants and can be asymptomatic or accompanied by mild symptoms like regurgitation or vomiting. Usually no treatment other than addressing the parents' concerns is necessary (Baird et al., 2015, Benninga et al. 2016).
