Formula, anti-regurgitation

Thickened infant formula used for the management of regurgitation in formula-fed infants (Baird et al., 2015). These commercial formulas contain different thickening agents such as cereal starch, carob or locust bean gum flours. These ingredients thicken when meeting the acid environment of the stomach and are widely available. Anti-regurgitation formulas reduce not only the number of episodes of regurgitation but also vomiting and increase weight gain (Salvatore et al., 2018).
