Ferrous fumarate

… is a bivalent iron salt with 33% elemental iron content. It shows a similar efficacy to ferrous sulphate, is moderately water soluble and nearly tasteless (Nagpal & Choudhury, 2004). Ferrous fumarate is a comparably cheap option for supplementation of foods with only low potential to induce colour or taste changes in foods (Prentice et al., 2017).
